Mia Mayer
Owner/Stylist
Founder and Owner of That Dress which is tucked away in the heart of Effingham County, That Dress was founded in 2013. With a small savings account, some credit cards, and an idea. Mia did what no one ever does- quit her job and opened up a bridal and prom store with absolutely no experience in the retail industry.
In the beginning , That Dress only sold wedding dresses and prom dresses. Things really started to take off and then tuxedos, bridesmaids, mothers, quinceanera and flower girls were added. That’s when that dress brides let us in on a little secret . That Dress is different. We made each bride, prom girl, mother and others feel special, we truly care about each customer and love what we do!
Jess Grimes
Owner/Stylist
Jessica a transplant from PA moved to GA in 2009 to be closer to her family after years of
being away. She met her now husband the day after moving to GA and they got married 11-
11-11 here on Tybee Island. Jessica joined her mother Mia at That Dress in 2015 after years
of jobs in customer service (flight attendant, bartender, leasing agent) just to name a few.
When Jessica is not dressing Brides or measuring men for tuxedos you can find her with her husband and her son Kal. Jessica loves going to the beach and spending time with her family.
Grace Ratliff
Stylist
Grace, a local native to Effingham County, started as a pageant girl who got all of her dresses from That Dress. Her love for the industry inspired her to join Jess and Mia at That Dress in 2018. She became a TD Bride in 2021 when she married her husband Josh! This opened a new door into the bridal industry, which she never knew how much she would love, until she started doing it! Outside of That Dress, you can find Grace spending time with her family or planning weddings with Hickory Charm Events, her own wedding planning and design company.
